Why do I have to share my personal data when registering? This is a necessary condition to be able to take advantage of everything we have to offer you at bwin. We need your first name, last name, address and date of birth to confirm your identity and that you are of legal age to sign up with us. Your email address allows us to contact you if needed.

 

How does the account verification process work? The account verification process is the following:

  • Complete the account verification by logging in via BankID within 30 days of signing up. 
  • If all your details match, your account will be verified straight away. If there is a mismatch in your registered details, you will need to provide an ID copy.
  • If the account verification is not completed within the 30 days period, the account will be closed.

 

Why do I have to send a copy of my ID? You only need to send us a copy of your ID document if there is a mismatch between your account details and the details registered on your BankID, which means you are not able to verify your account. In this case we will need a copy of your ID document so we can update your account details to make it possible for you to complete the account verification with your BankID.

 

What can I use as ID?  We accept any government-issued ID document, such as passport, national identity card or driving license, which clearly states your first name, last name, date of birth and has a photo of you.

 

Why wasn’t my ID accepted? Your document may not have been accepted as all personal details must be clear and visible. Please ensure the document is legible and all details can be read.

 

Why wasn’t my Personal Identity Number accepted? If you try to log in to your account with your Swedish personal ID number and your BankID and you get an error message, it might be that the personal details registered on your account are not correct or don’t match the details registered on your BankID.

 

Is it safe to upload my personal documents? We guarantee that your documents are secure once they leave your computer using 'SSL' technology. Thus, you can be sure that your documents cannot be intercepted when submitting via the Internet.

 

How are my documents protected once I send them to you? Your documents are stored in a highly protected data centre that is equipped with numerous levels of security control, which protects your information against unauthorised access.

 

Who has access to my documents? Only employees who work on verifying your documents have access to this data.

 

I don't have a scanner to scan my documents - what can I do? It’s easy, you can use a digital camera, your phone, or a webcam to take a picture of your documents. Just make sure they’re clear!

 

What will happen to my account if it isn't verified within 30 days?  You will not be able to withdraw money from your account or deposit over SEK 11.825 cumulatively until your account is verified. Your account needs to be verified within 30 days from registration or your first login. If the account isn't verified within the 30 days period, it will be closed.

 

What should I do if my account is closed? If your account isn't verified within 30 days, it will get closed and it cannot be reopened. You can however open a new account with a different e-mail address.
